s Thank You for Visiting!
My strive is to provide an informative website
to any family on the care of pugs and to raise high quality, AKC, fawn and black pugs, breeding only to selected
Champion Sires, always striving for the AKC and PDCA conformation standard, and to reduce genetic health problems and
enhance characteristics that we want in future champion pugs. Some will be show prospects, but most people just want a healthy,
happy, home grown puppy pug to add to their family. Your new special baby will be vet checked, had his/her first
shots and worming, and carries a one-year health guarantee against genetic issues.I am also a paid member of the City of Angels
Pug Club, and have decided not to pursue membership to the PDCA at this time. If you know me, you'll know why.
My Story: I
graduated from nursing school in 1982, worked in the field of GP for 9 years, then in Dermatology at
Loma Linda Univ the last 10 years as head nurse. I had always had animals, show rabbits, goats, horses and of course
dogs my entire life. I have always loved the faces and character of the pug. In 1996, I began with a pet pug
named Chynna and then bought a Lazy G show potential female, Tootsie, the same year.
My first litter was in 1998 and then began showing her and she recieved 2 points
the first weekend out.
In 1999 I lost partial sight from a LASIX procedure
and was unable to drive and work as a nurse any longer.
My
love for pugs grew. It was a slow process and
It took several
years of unforseen delays:
But with work, family, illnesses,
and caring for my Developmental Disabled son, Travis, I am overjoyed with the high quality pugs I have today,
especially my first home champion Jewel, 4th generation Thad, and now his puppies are on the ground. My goal
is to have all my breeding pugs OFA checked for cardiac, knee, pharnyx and CERF for eyes. Thad has passed his
Doppler ECHO and is certified OFA normal.
I kept a pup from Thad and Jewel and hoping for continued success.
Check out Thad's accomplishments and breeding!! Also breedings to
Ch Prince Harry AOM
at Westminister 2008, producing Dottie, LT and Gem.
Doittie just received a 5 point major at City of Angels Pug Speciality!! What an honor.
I got here with
the help of Phyllis Henderson, Blanche Roberts, Kathy Clarke, Mary and Ed Agner, Jim Tittelfitz, Etel Gatturna and dear Diana
Geerling of Lazy G Pugs who started me out, also handler Pam Amos, Jr Handler Truman Hance III,
AKC Pro.Handler Jeanne Henderson and Jr. Handler Chevaun Johnston.
Chevaun took Diamond as her project, traveling all over Calif, Arizona and Oregon,
and they became Best Jr Handler in 2004 and '05.
We also grieve the
loss of Twister and will never forget the happy funny smiley face he always, always had, ready for anything. He loved the
ring with Truman and loved to be home as well.
I now have a female black pup from Twisters last litter, PJ's Luv-d Twister's
Hurricane Hannah!
It's DEVA VU !!
